Club Dive

Left home at 7.15 am – in the daylight! That’s probably the only thing I appreciate about the end of daylight saving. Eunice & Darren joined us both, the others were going with Dave on Black Lable.

We headed out from Waitangi to “follow that thin path of sunlight” – ended up at Pig Gully. A real treat to the sea the bottom contour at 26 metres plus. Eunice & Darren went together & Trev & I set off, cameras in hand. The viz was approx 20 plus when we got down, but sadly there were heaps of shrimp and back scatter galore picked up in our strobe lights, in the end, I resorted to natural light.

Even at 22 metres the light was coming through quite well; as you can see, Trev (stubborn as ever) percevered and his shots came out well, next toys for us will be memory cards – his camera is 8 pix, mine is only 3 pics hence mine come out grainy on the wide angle shots. As someone said a while ago to me? Tomorrow is always a better dive.

  1. Nice photos! “Pig Gully” is my favorite site. I feel home sick now.

  2. I like the bigger pictures posted in your blog , makes the site look richer.
